Since November 2022, Maria Mela belongs to the Laboratory Teaching Staff of the Department of Wine, Vine & Beverage Sciences of the University of West Attica. She is a graduate of the Department of Oenology and Beverage Sciences of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (1996) as well as a graduate of the Department of Wine, Vine & Beverage Sciences of the University of West Attica (2021). She holds a Master’s Degree in “Quality Assurance” (2011) and a Master’s Degree in “Waste Management” (2014) from the Hellenic Open University. She worked as Oenologist in the Laboratory for Wine and Water Analyses and the Wine Institute of the National Agricultural Research Foundation –NAGREF in various research programs. She worked as non-tenured laboratory teaching staff in the Department of Oenology and Beverage Technology of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens during the period 2002-2016. From March 2016 to November 2022, she worked as Special Technical Laboratory Staff in the Department of Wine, Vine & Beverage Sciences – University of West Attica.
