• To meet the educational needs of the laboratory courses, the Department has: 
  • Two (2) vineyards, one educational and one experimental 
  • Experimental Winery, 
  • Experimental Brewery, 
  • Organoleptic Control Laboratory, 
  • Wine Products Technology Laboratory, 
  • Laboratory of Alcoholic Beverages and Soil Science Technology, 
  • Biochemistry/Biotechnology Laboratory, 
  • Two (2) Chromatography Laboratories ​ 
  • Graduate and Diploma Theses Laboratory 

  Together with other Departments: 

  • One (1) laboratory space in building K5 
  • Two (2) laboratory spaces in building K11

Research Vineyard 

The Department has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Aigaleo, which has provided it with an area of approximately 1000 square meter at a distance of approximately 700 m from the Department’s facilities, in which 500 vines of various varieties and rootstocks have been planted for the purpose of conducting graduate research tasks. 

Experimental Winery / Brewery 

The Department has exemplary modern facilities, with a unique for Greece experimental winery as well as a brewery, which are fully equipped with modern machinery, such as a grape vat, a winemaker, a crusher, a modern pneumatic press, cooling control units, stainless steel cooling tanks, a complete microbrewing system, bottling system, oak aging barrels and a storage area for wine and beer bottles.
