LEARNING RESULTS
The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge, skills and abilities to conduct a field study with an emphasis on practical research, as searching, analyzing and synthesizing data and information, adapting to new situations and making decisions will be the focus of the course and will concern the management of the soil, the cultivation and maintenance of a vineyard, the symptoms of the various pathogens of the vine and the choice of the most appropriate method of combating them, achieving a high quality production.
After the end of the course the student will be able to
- gather information about the current state of the vineyard and the methodologies and processes that can be applied
- to evaluate and interpret the results of his study
- to apply all the necessary cultivation care and techniques, so as to achieve sustainable grape production
- to work independently on a problem from a subject area of your course using scientific methods

COURSE CONTENT
The course is closely related to courses:
- “2.4 Vine Morphology & Physiology (5 ECTS)”,
- “3.2 Soil Climate System & Vine (7 ECTS)” and
- “4.2 Viticulture (11 ECTS)”,
- where the above courses will overlap and include lectures, group work, discussions and field study visits.
