LEARNING RESULTS

  • The student will be able to understand the spatial and temporal variability of different vineyards and decide on the choice of appropriate methods and technologies for their management.
  • He will be introduced to equipment for both variability measurement and variable rate application.
  • Information in these areas will enable students to know and understand why there is variation in yield within the same vineyard, what are the causes of this variability, how yield and quality interact and, if there is spatial variability, how to manage it justified on a technical and economic basis.
  • Finally, they will understand and appreciate the economics and environmental footprint of precision viticulture both internationally and in Greece.

General Skills

  • Search, analysis and synthesis of data and information, using the necessary technologies
  • Teamwork Decision making
  • Promotion of free, creative and inductive thinking
