Evangelou Alexandra

Alexandra Evangelou is an assistant professor at the Department of Wine, Vine & Beverage Sciences of the University of West Attica since March 2023. She got her degree in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. She continued her postgraduate studies to obtain a Master Diploma and a PhD in Organic Chemistry, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Immunopeptide Chemistry of the NCSR “Demokritos” (PhD scholarship). She has taught for many years as temporary Academic Staff in the Department of Wine, Vine and Beverage Sciences of PADA, both in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, Chemistry lessons. She has participated in research programs at the NCSR “Demokritos”, TEI of Athens and at the Department of Wine, Vine and Beverage Sciences of PADA. Her research interests are focused on the synthesis and analysis of peptides and their use in immunoassays, in analyses of nitrogenous compounds in wine and beer, as well as in the study of physical-chemical properties of wine.
