MSc in Wine and Beer Science
The MSc in Wine and Beer Science, with two specializations: Wine and Beer, contributes to the production of human capital for the development in the branch of Oenology but also in Brewery, and consequently in the development of Greek competitive manufacturing as well as the economic and cultural extroversion of our country. It should be added that our country is in 12th place worldwide in wine production (in 2012 Greece was awarded with more than 300 International Awards and distinctions). In Greece there are 680 registered wineries and approximately 40 cooperatives.
The accumulated experience of the involved members of the educational, technical and administrative staff of the Department, the collaborating specialized scientific and laboratory potential, as well as the available perfect modern laboratory equipment and other logistical infrastructures, are a guarantee of the success of the innovative undergraduate course which is independently organized by the Department of Wine, Vine and Beverage Sciences.
The course aims to the acquisition of a high level of general and specialized scientific technical-economic knowledge, skills and abilities, so that graduates will be capable of plan, planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, evaluating, controlling and developing innovative enterprises.
